Who we are

No account, progress on your device

The app has no account. We never ask for your name or email address. Your progress (checked items, favorites, unlocked guides, notes, lists, badges, platform and language) is stored on your device. If iCloud is on for the app, a copy of your progress, notes, lists and badges is also saved in your own iCloud account (Apple's key-value storage), so it comes back when you reinstall the app or use another iPhone; we have no access to it. You can turn this off in your iPhone settings (your name › iCloud). Without iCloud, everything is deleted when you delete the app.

Content updates

The app downloads its content from cheatpocket.com. Like any web server, ours receives technical data needed to answer (IP address, app version). It is kept only in short-lived server logs and is not used to identify you.

Analytics (PostHog), only with your consent

If you accept, the app sends usage events (for example: app opened, cheat viewed, item checked, search performed) to PostHog, on servers in the European Union, with a random identifier created by the app. No advertising identifier, name or email is sent. Before you choose, events stay on your device; they are deleted if you decline.

Ads (Google AdMob)

The app shows ads served by Google AdMob, including optional ads you watch to unlock a guide. Where required (European Economic Area, United Kingdom, Switzerland), the app asks for your consent with Google's consent form. On iOS, the app asks for permission to track through Apple's App Tracking Transparency. If you decline, ads are not personalized; Google may still process limited data (such as IP address and device information) to deliver ads, limit their frequency and prevent fraud. See how Google uses information from apps that use its services.

Legal bases

Usage analytics and personalized ads rely on your consent. Server logs and non-personalized ads (frequency limits, fraud prevention) rely on our legitimate interest in running and funding the app.

Notifications

If you turn on notifications, the app gives our server a technical push token (created by Apple and Expo, our notification provider) and the app's language, so we can tell you when new codes or missions are added, at most once a day. The token does not identify you. It is deleted when you turn notifications off in the app, when it stops working, or after 120 days without the app checking in.

Retention

Server logs are kept by our host for at most 30 days. Push tokens are kept while notifications are on, and at most 120 days without the app checking in. Usage events are only collected with your consent; you can withdraw it at any time in the app's Settings.

Transfers outside the EU

Google (AdMob) and Railway (our host) are based in the United States. Transfers rely on the safeguards provided by the GDPR: the European Commission's standard contractual clauses and, where applicable, the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework.

Your choices and rights

You can change your consent at any time in the app's Settings, and tracking permission in your iPhone settings. Under the GDPR you have rights of access, rectification, erasure, objection and complaint to a supervisory authority (in France, the CNIL). As we do not hold data that identifies you, most requests are best handled by the providers above; you can also write to us.

Age

The app is rated 17+ and is not directed to children.
